Parmer Medical Center Physicians

Felipe L. Jubay, Jr., MD   Felipe L. Jubay, Jr., MD
Dr. Jubay has been with the Friona Rural Health Clinic for the past 16 years. Originally from the Philippines, he completed a residency in Internal Medicine and a Fellowship in Endocrinology in Brooklyn, New York. He is currently serving as Chief of Staff at Parmer Medical Center.

Dr. Jubay's practice reflects his internal medicine training. He enjoys complicated disease management issues such as diabetes, hypertension, thyroid problems and heart disease. He has worked in a number of emergency rooms in his 37 years in the field and likes to treat trauma patients in the ER.

Dr. Jubay notes many advantages to a small town practice. He enjoys working closely with his physician partners and the Family Nurse Practitioner.

He and his wife Dita recently became grandparents. They enjoy traveling, especially to Florida to see the grandbaby.

   
Jeff S. Dickson, MD   Jeff S. Dickson, MD

Dr. Dickson is "homegrown" having graduated from Friona High School. He attended Texas A&M for his undergraduate degree and Southwestern Medical School in Dallas for his medical degree. He is also Board Certified in Family Medicine.

Dr. Dickson serves as Trauma Medical Director for Parmer Medical Center and has also recently trained in hospice care. He is the Medical Director of the hospice for Bluebonnet Home Health and Hospice in Friona. He has been practicing in Friona for eight years.

Although Dr. Dickson enjoys all aspects of Family Medicine, his practice includes a number of pediatric patients. He and his wife Becky have six children and are very active in Friona Schools' sports programs as parents. Dr. Dickson also enjoys golf.

   
Robert S. Alexander, MD   Robert S. Alexander, MD
Dr. Alexander has been the steadying influence for the Friona Rural Health Clinic for over 44 years. He has been a Diplomat in the American Board of Family Practice since 1978. Although Dr. Alexander has been "slowing down" his practice for the last couple of years, he retains an active clinic practice
.
Along with his considerable experience in all facets of Family Medicine, Dr. Alexander also serves as the Medical Director at Cargill Meat Packing plant in Friona and as such is experienced in industrial medicine. As the years have gone by, Dr. Alexander's practice has also evolved to a geriatric practice as his patients have aged.

Dr. Alexander also serves as the Medical Director for Prairie Acres Nursing Home in Friona. We are fortunate to have Dr. Alexander's extensive experience available to the patients we serve.
   
Felix G. Morales, MD   Felix G. Morales, MD
Dr. Morales joined Friona Rural Health Clinic in January of 2009. A graduate of Texas Tech University for both his undergraduate and medical degree, he is familiar with West Texas and the Panhandle. He is bilingual which makes his Spanish speaking patients extremely comfortable.

He is Board Certified in Family Medicine and also has experience in Pediatric Medicine. He enjoys pediatric patients as well as treating women's health issues. Prior to coming to Friona, Dr. Morales also practiced obstetrics. His professional interests also include emergency medicine.

He and his wife Roberta have two boys ages 5 and 3. Dr. Morales enjoys playing basketball and golf. His family is becoming increasingly involved in the community and he has been a great addition to our medical practice.
   
  Irene Balderas, MPAS, PA-C
Irene Balderas, MPAS, PA-C has joined the Medical Staff at Friona Rural Health Clinic and Parmer Medical Center.  Originally from Amarillo, Ms. Balderas is a graduate from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, School of Allied Health.

As a Physician Assistant, she has had experience in Emergency Care, Family and Internal Medicine, and Gynecology among other specialties.  She especially enjoys working with women and their specific health issues.  She also likes working with children and their special health needs.

Arriving in Friona from the Community Medical Center in San Angelo, she also has several years experience in the Midland/Odessa area.  She and her husband are very family oriented and enjoy spending time with her parents and siblings in the Amarillo area.
